The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic School of Thought is showcasing around 200 books, focusing on commonalities of Islamic madhhabs and Muslim unity, at the 31st International Holy Quran Fair.
In addition to the
books, the booth also introduced visitors to some online services and the
website of the World Assembly of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic School of
Thought, Seyyed Morteza Sajjadi-Nejad, director of the booth, said on Sunday.
“Given the current
state of affairs in the Islamic world, particularly the ongoing tragedy in Gaza,
we’ve prepared works that focus on Gaza and the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. Our
booth features books about Palestine in three languages - Persian, Arabic, and
English,” he said.
“We also addressed
doubts related to the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. These offerings were
well-received by visitors.”
The World Forum for
Proximity of Islamic School of Thought operates in two sections - general and
specialized, he said, adding that books with a more general appeal have been
more successful at this exhibition.
As for the general
audience, they found the concept of addressing commonalities between the Shia
and Sunni interesting, Sajjadi-Nejad said, adding that the term “proximity”
sparked curiosity among them, leading to inquiries about its meaning.
This year’s
exhibition was more diverse than the previous one, with a significant focus on
children and teenagers, he said.
The 31st International Holy Quran Fair commenced at Tehran's
Imam Khomeini Mosalla on March 20, coinciding with the Nowruz holidays. This
spiritual and cultural event invites visitors on a journey of exploration.
Running until April 2, the exhibition welcomes enthusiasts
daily from 5:00 PM to 00:30 AM local time. Notably, the fair fosters a
family-friendly atmosphere, providing a warm and inclusive space for all age
groups.
Iftar tables have been thoughtfully arranged, allowing
visitors to break their fast together in a communal setting. Beyond its local
appeal, the fair draws attention to global issues, emphasizing the role of the
Quran in inspiring resistance, particularly concerning Gaza and Palestine.
Through artistic, cultural, and theatrical mediums, the fair
aims to familiarize attendees with Quranic concepts. Special sections cover
topics such as artificial intelligence, Nahj al-Balaghah, Quranic research and
consultation, Quran translation, and easy Quran memorization.
